RUNewt 2.4:
runs native applications created by Newt 2.4 or beamed/mailed from RUNewt.

Copyright 1994, S. Weyer, All Rights Reserved Worldwide.

Keywords: native Newton application delivery and transfer, Newt.

RUNewt is freeware to end-users, licensable to developers or others who wish
to distribute it. See RUNewt.txt for further info.

RUNewt serves as an installer (for Newt applications), launcher (similar to
Extras) and a run-time library. You can use it to run applications you obtain
from another Newt user, or to save applications that you are developing.

Contents [runewt-24.sit/.zip/.hqx, rnwt24.sit/.zip]:
- RUNewt24.pkg -- complete version
- RUNwt24L.pkg -- RUNewt lite omits protoEndpoint, most extra platform functions,
                  Install/DeInstall/Beam/Email commands (~40K smaller)
- RUNewt.1st -- this file
- RUNewt.txt -- a longer readme file
(Mac format text files in .sit/.hqx archives; DOS text in .zip archive)

Changes in version 2.4:
- eliminates frame order dependency/unpredictability, e.g., user
prototypes defined in terms of other user protos at same level
- includes remaining NTK Platform Functions (version 1.1) -- these are
functions that are not defined in the ROMs but are added by NTK; they
can be "borrowed" from RUNewt at runtime. added: AddAlarm, GetAlarm,
  GetAppAlarmKeys, RemoveAlarm, RemoveAppAlarms, Send, OpenRemoteControl,
  CloseRemoteControl, SendRemoteControlCode, GetSCCSideB, EnableIRModule,
  GetDefaultStore, SetDefaultStore, UnionSoupIsNull, SetExtrasInfo,
  AddLocale, FindLocale, GetLanguageEnvironment, ClearSelectionHilites,
  PtInBitMap
- files in .sit & .zip archives should be more accessible
